Glambot Production Specifications

This page covers the production details planners and producers ask about before booking the Glambot: how the robotic arm captures its slow-motion clips, how much floor space the setup needs, what power it draws, and how footage reaches guests. The unit is operated by our own crew, based in Palm Desert and working across Los Angeles and Southern California.

How the arm captures each clip

The Glambot is a robotic camera arm that moves through programmed sweep paths, repeating the same motion for every guest. The camera records at a high frame rate, and the footage plays back in slow motion, which produces the cinematic look the format is known for. A director from our crew positions each guest on the mark, explains the move, and cues the take, so no prior experience is needed on the guest side. LED lighting is part of the standard setup and travels with the rig, so the arm does not depend on house lighting.

Footprint and space planning

The standard installation includes a red carpet runway with stanchions, both supplied by us. Plan for the carpet area where guests queue and pose, plus clearance around the arm itself, since the camera sweeps through open air during each take and nothing can sit inside its path. The setup has run in ballrooms at galas, on premiere carpets, and on convention floors, including the Los Angeles Convention Center, so it adapts to both open exhibit space and tighter indoor rooms. Send us a floor plan or room dimensions and we will confirm placement before load-in.

Power, setup, and teardown

The rig runs on standard power. No special rigging is required, which keeps venue paperwork simple. Our crew handles the full install: load-in, arm assembly, lighting, carpet and stanchion placement, and calibration of the sweep paths before doors open. The same crew operates the arm throughout the event and handles teardown at the end, so the venue only needs to provide access times and a power source. The team is our own staff, so one point of contact covers the entire production from advance work to strike.

Clip delivery and branding

Each clip is delivered to the guest's phone immediately after the take, so footage circulates while the event is still running. There is no post-event waiting period on the guest side; the file they receive is the finished slow-motion clip. For sponsored or corporate programs, branded overlays can be applied, placing a logo or campaign mark on every video guests share. This is the standard approach for conventions and corporate activations, including a program we ran for Qualcomm, where the branded clip itself becomes the takeaway.
